"Over There" Post 112
Wichita, Kansas

Welcome to our website. VFW Post 112 was chartered on January 14th, 1920. We are the oldest post in central Kansas (second oldest in Kansas) and one of the oldest in the United States. We proudly display our trophy for having the world's largest membership from 1953 to 1955. We serve drinks on the original bar that came from the historic Eaton Hotel in downtown Wichita.

We are a VFW Post rich in history with an eye on the future. Although we are involved in special events and activities throughout the year we are especially excited about our impending 100-year anniversary. We are currently planning many unique events and activities for our upcoming year-long centennial celebration in the year 2020.

Our post meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month. Our canteen/bar opens at 4PM Tuesday/Friday and Sunday at 10AM.
We are located at 1560 S. Topeka, Wichita KS. 67211. Our physical location is the northeast corner of Harry and Topeka streets.

                 2020 Centennial Celebration

For 99 years, VFW Post 112 has been writing a story in the South-Central Kansas area. In every page and chapter of this story there was a man or woman who made an important contribution or sacrifice during their military service. In times of tragedy, triumph and troop support, VFW Post 112 has stepped up and proudly served, helped others, and left a mark that will not be forgotten. This legacy is what we celebrate and will commemorate in the year 2020.

Very few organizations in the Wichita area can claim the distinction of a century-long existence. VFW Post 112 is honored to be one of the few to achieve this monumental milestone in the very near future. Reaching 100 years is an accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated by any organization, therefore, we have established the 2020 Planning Committee to organize the different functions and events that will occur during the year 2020.

Please keep checking this webpage for updates as these plans unfold and take shape as we mark this milestone throughout the centennial year of 2020.
